This project is an ode to cultural displacement and nostalgia. In the search of finding a piece of home, designer Alina Ispas stumbled upon an archive with one of the oldest ever dated pictures of people from rural Romania, captured during one of the most important events of their lives. The knitted two piece was carefully thought to reassemble the motifs found on the carpets used as backdrops for old school wedding / family photos, as captured in the early 20th century by Costica Acsinte.
